Down Payment Assistance Loan Program
Florida Hometown Heroes Housing Program, designed to make homeownership more affordable for our dedicated community workforce. This initiative provides essential down payment and closing cost assistance to eligible first-time, income-qualified homebuyers, enabling you to purchase a primary residence within the community you proudly serve. The Florida Hometown Heroes Loan Program also offers a reduced first mortgage interest rate and additional benefits to honor those who have served and continue to serve our country.
- Must be a first time homebuyer (Veterans are exempt from this requirement)
- Minimum Credit Score 640
- Employed 35+ hours a week for a Florida based Employer
- Income cannot exceed 150% of their counties Area Median Income (AMI)
- Up to $35,000 for Down payment assistance and closing costs
- Down payment assistance loan amount based on 5% of first mortgage total
